The Artifact Guarantee & Refund Policy

At The Artifact, we stand behind our work. Our landscape plans are professionally designed, Alberta-specific, and built to perform in real-world conditions. This policy explains our guarantee and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued.

Our Guarantee

We guarantee that:


  • You will receive a complete, professionally designed digital landscape plan as described on the product page.


  • The files will be accessible, functional, and usable (downloadable, printable, and viewable).


  • The design has been created specifically for Alberta climates with four-season performance in mind.


If the product does not meet these criteria, we will make it right.

Satisfaction-Based Guarantee (Limited)

If, after reviewing the materials, you believe the product does not reasonably match what was described on the sales page, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase, subject to the conditions below.

To qualify:


  • You must contact us at james@theartifact.ca within 7 days of purchase.


  • Your request must include your order number and a brief explanation of the concern.


  • The request must be based on the product content itself (not installation outcomes or personal preference alone).


If approved, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.

What This Guarantee Does Not Cover

Refunds will not be issued for:


  • Change of mind after purchase


  • Installation errors or contractor work


  • Site-specific conditions (soil, grading, drainage, sun exposure)


  • Extreme or unusual weather events


  • Plant availability or substitutions


  • Differences in personal taste or aesthetic preference after review


  • Failure to follow the provided plan or instructions


Landscape outcomes depend on many variables beyond our control.

Technical Issues

If you experience a technical issue (missing files, corrupted downloads, access problems), contact us and we will:


  • provide a corrected or replacement file promptly, or


  • issue a refund if the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time


Fair Use & Abuse Protection

This guarantee is offered in good faith.


We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases of repeated requests, misuse, or attempts to retain the product after refund.

If a refund is issued, your license to use the digital materials is revoked.

Chargebacks & Disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback.


Unnecessary chargebacks may result in:


  • loss of access to purchased materials


  • restriction from future purchases


We actively contest chargebacks where delivery and policy acceptance can be demonstrated.
